From North of Borth the Path moves inland passing Cos Fochno (Borth Bog) to Tre Taliesin.
Borth Bog (650acres) is one of the largest and finest examples of a raised peat bog in Britain .
Peat has been accumulating for over 6,000 years reaching a depth of over 6 metres.

A footpath off The Coast Path descends to Furnace on the A487.
The Blast Furnace dates from 1755 to 1810.
After 1810 the building may have been used as a sawmill or a fulling mill .
